Hearthstone Health & Fitness “Freshens Up” Neighborhood Service Center Food Pantry

Dave and Martha Tuthill, owners of Hearthstone Health & Fitness in Easton, donated more than 1,000 pounds of fresh produce and 15 turkeys to the Neighborhood Service Center (NSC) in Easton. NSC provides a wide range of services and assistance to low-income individuals, senior citizens and families of Talbot County.

NSC Executive Director Sandy Redd comments, “The food donated by Hearthstone Health & Fitness will be given to more than 400 people-in-need during the month of December. This generous donation is highly welcomed this time of year as our food pantry feels significant pressure during the holiday season.”

In addition to 15 turkeys, the Hearthstone Health & Fitness donation includes more than 1,000 pounds of fresh sweet potatoes, apples, oranges, carrots, cucumbers, zucchini and a variety of squash.

“We are proud to partner with the Neighborhood Service Center and be part of the great work they do in our community,” comments Dave Tuthill, owner of Hearthstone Health & Fitness. “Our donation of fresh poultry and produce provides a healthy alternative to the traditional contributions of canned food and boxed meals that are high in preservatives and sugar. We feel that everyone should have access to fresh, healthy and nutritious food – especially during the holidays.”
