Unfinished article… all these years later, I can only imagine why…
Our newest adventure in the Hoffman house is sibling rivalry. This is quite an interesting concept for me, an only child. Having never had to compete for or over anything, I am amazed at the stuff Marcus and Jacob end up battling over. One thing I have noticed is that the younger of the two children is usually at a distinct disadvantage.
For instance, Marcus and Jacob compete over the largest slice of piece in the box. Marcus always ends up with the larger piece because he convinces his younger brother that the smaller piece has more cheese. (Samuel doesn’t usually play into the equation — yet. He’s too busy copying everything both Marcus and Jacob do.)
They are already even competing for the same love. Ivy is her name and she is now a long distance love, as her and her family (including little sister Eden) have moved across country. After receiving a note from her in the mail the other day, Marcus and Jacob rode in the back of the car negotiating which one was going to marry her. Marcus insisted that Ivy loved him and that Eden was more right for Jacob. “But I don’t want that little one,” Jacob’s broken heart replied.
Until next time,
