Hospice Hosts Candlelight Remembrance Service
Compass Regional Hospice (formerly Hospice of Queen Anne’s) hosts the annual Candlelight Remembrance Service on Sunday, November 23. The service begins at 4:00 pm at the Centreville United Methodist Church, 608 Church Hill Road. The service is free and open to the public.
The centerpiece of the Candlelight Remembrance Service is the reading of the names of Compass Regional Hospice patients who have died in the past 13 months. Members of the community are also invited to submit names of their loved ones whom they would like to be remembered during the holiday season.
The Compass Regional Hospice commemorative holiday ornament will be available for purchase at the service. This year’s ornament features a dove with the inscription “May your memories of this season come on the gentle wings to bring you peace.” The ornament is $20 and may be pre-ordered by contacting Kenda Leager, 443-262-4106, kleager@compassregionalhospice.org.
For more information and to submit a name to be read during the remembrance service, contact Rhonda Knotts, 443-262-4109, rknotts@compassregionalhospice.org.
