Hospice of Queen Anne’s would like to welcome Eileen Vorbach Collins, RN, B.S.N., MA as the organization’s new Nurse Manager of Home Care. Eileen brings to Hospice of Queen Anne’s a wealth of experience as a nurse, administrator, and educator. She worked for ten years for the Visiting Nurse Association of Maryland both in the field and as a nurse manager. For the past three years, she has served as the Stroke Program Coordinator for St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore. Prior to that position Eileen was an RN Care Coordinator.
Eileen also has a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Care. She facilitated a stroke survivor’s support group and co-facilitated bereavement support groups at Saint Agnes. Eileen also worked to develop a group for those bereaved by suicide.
Eileen remarked that she is “happy to be a part of the Hospice of Queen Anne’s team. I’m so impressed with the dedication of the staff, and how they work together toward the goal of providing the best possible care to hospice patients and their families.”
Eileen moved with her husband from Catonsville to Queen Anne’s County in May. She feels very fortunate to be on the Eastern Shore and part of the Hospice of Queen Anne’s family.
