On February 24, 2012, the place to be seen will be at Hospice of Queen Anne’s ninth annual gala to be held at Annie’s Paramount Steak & Seafood House in Grasonville. The black-tie optional event begins at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres followed by a gourmet, sit-down dinner and dancing to the live music of the entertaining Retrospect. It is sure to be an elegant and fun-filled evening you won’t easily forget.
Hospice of Queen Anne’s will announce the recipients of the Philanthropist and Junior Philanthropist of the Year during the event. This is the first time the organization has presented the Junior Philanthropist award.
Because of generous community support, Hospice of Queen Anne’s continues to provide the highest quality, professional and compassionate care for patients with advancing life-limiting illnesses and support for their families during and after their loved one has died. Care is given based solely on need, regardless of a person’s ability to pay.
Last year, community support made it possible for Hospice of Queen Anne’s to offset more than $200,000 in unfunded room and board expenses in the Residential Hospice Center and $96,500 of the non-reimbursed grief care programs and services.
