Hospice of Queen Anne’s is offering a 16-hour, Patient Care Volunteer Training program for individuals who want to work directly with hospice patients. It is scheduled for April 10, 12, 17 and 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hospice Center in Centreville.
Individuals who are interested in providing care and support to hospice patients in the Hospice Residence, private homes or assisted living facilities need to complete this 4-session training program. Registration forms must be received by April 2 to be eligible for the training.
When you become a volunteer for Hospice of Queen Anne’s, there is a place for you. Whether you choose to work directly with patients and families, serve on an event committee, make a presentation, organize mailings for bereaved families, or prepare patient meals in the Hospice Residence, you can make a difference in someone’s life, including your own.
