HQA’s Fall Grief Support Groups Set

Hospice of Queen Anne’s is offering two, ten-week grief support groups for adults beginning on October 16 and continuing through December 18 for those who are struggling with the loss of a loved one. Participants may choose an afternoon group from 1-2 p.m. or an evening group from 6-8 p.m., both held on Tuesdays at the Hospice Center in Centreville.

Led by trained and caring grief counselors, group members learn to identify normal grief reactions and how to manage grief while building lasting relationships with other group members.

“Our fall grief support groups are especially helpful for those who are going through the holiday season following the recent loss of their loved one,” said Rhonda Knotts, coordinator of HQA’s Grief Services and Support Programs.

HQA’s grief support groups are free of charge to anyone in the community in need of encouragement and support. The groups meet at Hospice of Queen Anne’s located at 255 Comet Drive in Centreville. All groups require pre-registration. Please contact Rhonda Knotts, 443-262-4109 or rknotts@hospiceofqueenannes.org to pre-register.
