Jack Martin & Associates, the yacht division of Avon-Dixon Agency and member of Shore Bancshares family of companies is pleased to announce the promotion of Jon Horton to Sales Manager. Prior to his promotion, Jon was a highly successful Yacht and Marine Agent and IT Manager at Jack Martin & Associates located in Annapolis, Maryland.

In his new position, Mr. Horton will be responsible for the continued success and growth of the agency’s’ marketing & sales initiatives. “I look forward to providing our team with the tools, strategies and relationship with our carriers that will drive success and high levels of customer satisfaction and at the same time assist our agents in attaining production objectives” says Mr. Horton.

Mr. Horton joined Jack Martin & Associates in 2005 and brought with him many years of sales and service experience. Jon is a graduate of the University of Montevallo, located in Alabama, with a Bachelor of Science degree. Jon’s family owned an independent insurance agency and marina in his home state of Alabama, so growing up in these two environments makes for a natural transition and experience in marine insurance sales. “Jon has shown exceptional leadership qualities and has a proven track record of skill and integrity in the Marine industry. Jon has a strong and valued involvement in the local boating community, we are excited to have Jon lead our team at Jack Martin & Associates, says Donna Sposa, Vice President and COO of Avon-Dixon Agency.

Mr. Horton is an active leader in his community serving as the Program Director for the Mid Atlantic Mariner’s Club, an organization of maritime attorneys, surveyors, insurance agents and insurance companies who serve the maritime insurance industry.
