Join Annie’s & The Shore Update In Helping Others

Twas just weeks before Christmas
And all through the Shore
Everyone was talking
More than usual…much more
It’s time for our annual Christmas by the Bay
And we are all shouting out…hooray… hooray
It’s a time to have fun, it’s a time to share
For someone in need, for someone who needs care

Christmas by the Bay is many things… a special night at Annie’s Paramount Steak and Seafood House; great deals on gift cards offered by 40 local merchants; artisans selling their special crafts; and, Santa and Mrs. Claus visiting for the kids and for the kids in all of us. Above all, it is a time to share with someone in need.

This year, we are helping the Clough family from Stevensville. Recently, their two-year old daughter Hunter was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a cancer that attacks the muscle fibers. It is a curable cancer, but Hunter is undergoing six months of chemotherapy followed by up to three weeks of radiation treatments. It is a difficult time for Hunter and for her family. Follow them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/hopeforhunterclough to see how Hunter is doing.

Christmas by the Bay is raising funds for the Clough family in several ways. We will have three raffle baskets each valued at over $300. Be sure to purchase raffle tickets for the basket or baskets of your choice. All the money collected will be donated to Hunter.

We also are raising funds by selling Bracelets for Hope with an angel ornament for $10. Sadie Groves is the coordinator for this charity that was set up to help children with cancer. According to Sadie, “When I was five, I lost one of my best friends to a rare and aggressive cancer. The day he passed away, I promised myself that when I was a grown up or twelve, I would start a charity for him.” Sadie’s best friend was my son Jacob, who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma.

“In this season of joy and giving, there is no better way to celebrate the holidays than to help someone in need. Come to Annie’s on December 11 and buy a Bracelet for Hope or a raffle ticket. All the monies collected will be donated to Hunter,” according to Cheri Hoffman, owner of the Shore Update and coordinator for the event. “I know that your spirits will be lifted by helping this little girl in need.”

We are celebrating Christmas by the Bay on Wednesday, December 11 from 5:30-8:30pm at Annie’s Paramount Steak and Seafood House. Join us for an evening of fun, food, shopping and sharing. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be visiting, and we will have treat bags for the kids.

More than 25 area vendors will be selling unique gifts and crafts. Annie’s will be offering a complimentary dessert station and two dinner specials. You can choose from a 1.5 pound lobster dinner for $19.95 or a fried chicken dinner for $12.95.
