June 21st Archaeology Adventure in QAC

Imagine being on an archaeological dig and discovering the rich cultural history of Native Americans. Your children will learn to discern the lifestyles of pre-industrial cultures and compare them to our own society by simulating an archaeologist’s full day of work. This exclusive Archaeology program recreates this incredible experience for everyone!
Both children and adults will be able to set up a simulated dig site complete with fragmented pottery, beads, arrowheads, shells, and even animal bones (leading to discussions about dietary habits). We even include a professional-quality screen for sifting out key findings. Children will have the opportunity to create their own necklace with a real arrowhead. Cost: $10. No onsite registration available. Space is limited. Friday, June 21, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Conquest Beach. Program #: 190012.
