The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum (CBMM) in St. Michaels, MD is offering a rare opportunity to board the 1812 top-sail schooner Pride of Baltimore II for a wine tasting on Friday, June 22 from 6-8pm.
Guests will enjoy premium California and French wines and hors d’oeuvres while dockside along the St. Michaels harbor. The event is generously sponsored by Town & Country Wine, Liquor, etc.
Commissioned in 1988, the Pride of Baltimore II is a sailing memorial to her immediate predecessor, the original Pride of Baltimore, which was sunk by a white squall off Puerto Rico in 1986. Both ships were built in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor as reproductions of Baltimore Clippers, which helped America win the War of 1812.
Only one-hundred tickets are available at $100 per person or $175 per couple and need to be reserved by calling René Stevenson at 410-745-4950 before June 19. Proceeds benefit the children and adults served by museum’s educational, exhibit and special event programs. For more information, visit www.cbmm.org.
