Friday, February 16, 2018 – Keirien Taylor of Denton, filed to run as State Delegate in Maryland’s District 36 (which consists of Caroline, Kent, Queen Anne’s, and Cecil County). Keirien is 22 years old, and a current graduate student at Salisbury University studying Conflict Analysis and Dispute Resolution. Mr. Taylor received his bachelor’s degree from Salisbury University in Political Science and his associate degree from Chesapeake College in Liberal Arts. As a progressive democrat Mr. Taylor is inspired and determined to improve Maryland’s District 36.
As an Eastern Shore native, who has spent majority of his life in Caroline County, Mr. Taylor is thrilled to fairly represent ALL people of the mid-shore, not just a few local political elites.
“I am pleased and honored to announce my candidacy for District 36’s State Delegate. In my candidacy, as state delegate I’ll be an advocate for our great Eastern Shore. Local government exists first and foremost to provide quality education and efficient transportation, and to ensure public safety. I’ll guarantee that we organize and put resources into these basic administrations. Great schools and safe neighborhoods are fundamental to our future. Together, we will make sure our funding priorities reflect these public priorities.”
