We are pleased to announce the details of Kennard’s 18th Annual Gala event, which will take place on Nov 8th, starting at 11:30am at 410 Little Kidwell Ave. in Centreville. This event, which is our major fundraiser, supports the operation and programs of The Kennard African American Cultural heritage Center and Museum. Some proceeds from this event will also provide funding for Kennard’s “Madelyn Hollis” scholarship fund.
This year, in addition to the online raffle, we are holding an “In -Person Luncheon”, honoring “Local Black Watermen of the Chesapeake”, Tyrone Meredith, Montro Wright, and Lewis Carter. There will be raffle tickets available for sale to win 1 or more of several prize packages that include lodging and meals in beautiful Queen Anne’s County. There will also be opportunities to sponsor this event or donate to help make this event a success.
