Kennard Alumni Says “Thank You” For Community’s Help

On November 2nd, Kennard Alumni hosted its annual fund raiser at the Bay Country Moose Lodge in Queenstown. A night of fun, food, dancing, and a silent auction, that was enjoyed by all. Old friends reminisced and memories were captured for future generations to enjoy. But none of this would have been possible without the help of our friends and neighbors. So, the Kennard Alumni Association says “Thank You” to all of our Sponsors, Donors, Auction Contributors, Advertisers, paid Guests, and Volunteers for their participation in this year’s event.

We offer a special “Thank You” to Chesapeake Publishing for helping to promote this event.

Your generosity helped to raise almost $10,000 for the Kennard High School Restoration Project and the alumni’s scholarship fund. This project, when completed, will house “The Kennard High School African American Cultural Heritage Center” and provide a multitude of educational, cultural, recreational and resource referral programs for the youth and adults of Queen Anne’s County. Once again, THANK YOU for helping to bring this dream to reality.
