Kent County Commissioners Threaten To End Recycling Program

Kent County Commissioners reportedly want to end the county’s recycling program. Chestertown does not want end the program. Town leaders reportedly are trying to put pressure on county leaders and also looking for money to cover the program in-town if the county will not. The Town Council sent a letter urging Kent to keep on recycling, and downtown Chestertown is reportedly doing the same. Kent County has a $2.5-million budget shortfall that it is trying to close.
