Kent County Sheriff Shoots Home Invasion Suspect

A home invasion suspect trying to flee police in a stolen vehicle was wounded by Kent County Sheriff John F. Price IV. The unidentified Cambridge man allegedly drove directly at the sheriff who was trying to block his escape. The wounded man, who police have not identified by name, was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. He is under police guard. The man is being treated for a single gunshot wound to the arm. He is in stable condition and is expected to survive, according to investigators. Sheriff Price, 52, was not injured.
