The Kent Island Garden Club will present Standard Flower Show which will be open to the public on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, from one p.m. to four p.m. at the Oyster Cove Clubhouse on Oyster Cove Drive in Grasonville, MD. The show is titled Colors on Parade and the entries will judged by judges accredited by the Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland. The chairwomen for the flower show are Linda Elias and Diana Bonner.

There will horticulture specimens on display for judging as well as floral designs grouped in six designated classes. Each class will consist of four entries. The first section is titled Nature’s Colors and the individual classes are called “Sunrise”, “Twilight” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. The designs in this class will reflect spatial thrust elements, stretch designs incorporating more than one container and designs of the exhibitor’s choice.. The second group is named Waves of Color. The entries for this section are named “High Noon”, “Stormy Weather”, and “Sunset”. The second selections of designs will include a table setting for one, underwater desugns and designs with reflective elements.

The flower show will also be open to the public for viewing the horticultural exhibits on Tuesday, October 22, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Wednesday, October 23, from 7:30 a.m . to 9:30 a.m.
