Kent Island Plea Deal Means More Prison Time

An Annapolis man has pleaded guilty to a drunk driving crash that left two people dead on Kent Island. In August 2010, Victor Smith was going north on Route 8 in Stevensville when he lost control of his car, crossed into the other lane and hit an oncoming vehicle. He survived, but two passengers in the car with him did not. Police say speed and alcohol were factors in the crash. Under a plea agreement, Smith will serve about four more years in prison.
