Kent Island High School will be starting a new program this summer called the Kent Island Theatre Summer Camp. KITSC is the idea of theatre teacher and musical director at Kent Island High School, Mr. Kevin Reagan. The mission of this program will serve as an enrichment opportunity for those students who would like to explore the performing arts through their participation in a full-length musical production.
This year, KITSC is pleased to announce that it is starting its program with Disney’s Aladdin Jr.! The program dates will run July 1 through July 31, Monday – Thursday (except for July 4th) with performances in the evening on July 31 and August 1. Camp hours are 9:00AM – 3:00PM. Your child will audition the first day of camp. Throughout the program, your child will work continuously with a vocal director, choreographer, assistant director, and director on a daily basis.
Registration due date for the program is May 31, 2013. Total enrollment fee is $415. KITSC is being offered to rising 7th – 12th grade students. This is a wonderful opportunity for any child expressing interest in the performing arts.
There will be a meeting for all registrants and parents on Monday, June 3rd at 7:00 PM to meet the staff of KITSC and to receive more details on camp rules and operation. If you should have any questions about the program or would like to know more, please contact Kevin.Reagan@qacps.org and he would be happy to assist in any way. Registration forms can be found on Kent Island’s website: KIHigh.org.
