Hospice of Queen Anne’s has announced Kent Island American Legion Post 278 in Stevensville as their $5,000 Royal Flush Sponsor for the 9th Annual Hospice Gala to be held on February 24, 2012 at Annie’s Paramount Steak & Seafood House in Grasonville.
“Hospice of Queen Anne’s does so much for the members of our community. We salute their team and are proud to support them by sponsoring this event,” said Nikki Randolph, Commander of the Kent Island American Legion Post 278.
The black-tie optional event begins at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres followed by a seated dinner with lobster tail and petite filet, and dancing to the live music of Retrospect. Recipients of the Philanthropist and Junior Philanthropist of the Year will also be announced during the event.
Because of generous community support, Hospice of Queen Anne’s continues to provide the highest quality, professional and compassionate care for patients with advancing life-limiting illnesses and support for their families during and after their loved one has died. Care is given based solely on need, regardless of a person’s ability to pay.
Last year, community support made it possible for Hospice of Queen Anne’s to offset more than $200,000 in unfunded room and board expenses in the Residential Hospice Center and $96,500 of the non-reimbursed grief care programs and services.
