On Friday, November 15 at 9:45 a.m., the Kent Island Branch of the Queen Anne’s County Free Library presents a pajama story time with the Pajama Program, a non-profit organization that distributes warm sleepwear to children in need.
Children are invited to roll right out of bed and come to the library in their pajamas. Anyone who is able is asked to bring a new pair of pajamas (sized for toddlers to pre-teens). Pajama Program local coordinator Lolita Watkins will distribute pajamas to shelters and foster care families on the Eastern Shore.
The Pajama Program will provide goodie bags for the children and complimentary face painting.
This is the second year that the library and the Pajama Program have collaborated. Last year about 2 dozen pajamas were collected at the event.
The program is free of charge. No registration is required.
The library is located at 200 Library Circle in Stevensville, MD. For more information about library events and services, please contact the library at (410) 643-8161 or visit the website at www.quan.lib.md.us.
