Wine enthusiasts joined together at a fundraiser for emergency services at the Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department recently. They enjoyed fine wines carefully paired with the food offerings of 14 restaurants. Tours of the modern fire station were available with visitors returning home with pictures of themselves sitting in the fire apparatus. Others were the winning bidders on auction items including a resort stay in Belize, a wine cooler and a bed and breakfast stay with dinner at a fine dining restaurant. Everyone left with a well-satisfied appetite, the enjoyment of great wines and company and a commemorative wine glass.
