Kurtz New Senior Credit Officer

Kathleen Kurtz (366 x 400)Talbot Bank of Easton, Maryland is pleased to announce that Ms. Kathleen Kurtz has joined the company as Senior Credit Officer.

Ms. Kathleen Kurtz comes to us with extensive credit administration experience and has held numerous roles in commercial credit and loan administration throughout her career. Ms. Kurtz began her career in 1974 as an Assistant National Bank Examiner for the Comptroller of the Currency in Philadelphia, PA. Ms. Kurtz joined Girard Bank in Philadelphia, PA in 1977 and later became Vice President of Credit Policy where she led loan officer training, documentation and maintained credit policy and approval authorities. In 1983 Ms. Kurtz assumed the role as Vice President, Construction and Special Loans at New Jersey National Bank where she was responsible for managing portions their OREO and loan portfolios.

From 1997 to 2006, Ms. Kurtz served in a variety of roles at Easton Bank & Trust and ended her career there as Senior Vice President, Credit Policy. “I’m excited to have been granted the opportunity to have the responsibility as the Senior Credit Officer at The Talbot Bank. I hope that my experience will help The Talbot Bank to streamline and develop processes that will work towards the banks strategic goals’ ”, said Ms. Kathleen Kurtz.

Ms. Kathleen Kurtz received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from American University, Washington, D.C. and a Master of Science, Business Management from Durham University, Durham, England. Ms. Kurtz also holds a Master of Science in Historic Preservation Program from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA.

In her most recent position, Ms. Kurtz served as a Financial Advisor, Financial Planning and Retirement Specialist at Morgan Stanley in Easton, MD where she was responsible for providing comprehensive wealth management services to clients.
