Library to Bring Magician to Easton

On Thursday, June 23, at 10:30 a.m., in the Easton Elementary School’s Moton Gym, the Talbot County Free Library will present acclaimed magician Joe Romano in a celebration of reading entitled: “Books! The Magic Is Real!” Studies have shown that children who enjoy reading tend to write and concentrate better, are more flexible in their thinking, and are more likely to grow up to lead successful, happy lives. “Books! The Magic Is Real!” is an exciting production that brings books to life through the art of magic and illusion. It is designed to foster a passion for reading all year long. Romano’s show features dynamic music and dazzling illusions employing characters and plot lines from “Harry Potter,” “Dr. Seuss,” “How to Eat Fried Worms,” and more.

Joe Romano has performed as a magician in practically every major theme park in the America, including Universal Studios, Knotts’ Berry Farm, Six Flags, and Walt Disney Cruise Lines. He has appeared with Larry King, Celine Dion, and Ricky Martin.
