The Talbot County Library’s popular cable television show “On the Shelf” is celebrating its second full year on the air. Co-hosted by the library’s Sabine Simonson and the Avalon Foundation’s Kathy Hanna, “On the Shelf” airs almost daily on MCTV Channel 15. Viewers of the program receive an entertaining overview of upcoming library programming, as well as titles of the library’s latest book and movie acquisitions. “On the Shelf” is now the longest-running show on MCTV.
The current “On the Shelf” celebrates the royal wedding with information about books, movies, and other library materials devoted to weddings and wedding planning. Past editions of “On the Shelf” can be viewed at the library’s website, www.tcfl.org. These shows include interviews with children’s book author and illustrator Laura Rankin and Pulitzer Prize-nominated local poet Sue Ellen Thompson.
