A Half Day of Reflection and Discussion
This seminar includes guided and silent meditations, presentations on death and the spiritual practice of death contemplation, and ample time for group discussion.
When: Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 9:30 am – 1:00 pm
Coffee and light refreshments at 9:00am. Program starts at 9:30am.
Where: Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 315 Goldsborough St., Easton, MD 21601
What: This half-day of reflection will include direction in mindfulness as we contemplate what we are grateful for in our lives. Questions about death raise profound issues about life and how we are living right now. By accepting death as a natural part of life we empower ourselves to fully live.
Speakers: Nathaniel Pierce, a “retired” Episcopal Priest, serves as Worship Leader of St. Philip’s Church in Quantico, MD. He has 40 years of experience as a hospital chaplain and helped start a hospice program in western Idaho in the late 1970s. Larissa Kitenko, PharmD, a clinical pharmacist, hospital chaplain and longtime practitioner of Insight Meditation, will co-lead The Living Life Fully retreat. Larissa has been teaching mindfulness meditation on the Eastern Shore for many years.
