Local Artist Donates Original Paintings to QA Emergency Center

Dan Pompa of Queenstown is among the community members who are supporters of the Queen Anne’s Emergency Center. One way he has contributed to the center was by donating original paintings that are now displayed throughout the patient care area.

The watercolor paintings were created by Pompa and the late master painter Peggy Blades, with whom he studied. When Blades passed away, her family asked Pompa to sell her art work. He donated many of her colorful Eastern Shore landscapes along with a selection of his own water-themed paintings.

A retired science teacher, Pompa now keeps himself busy painting, carving and collecting precious gems.
