Local Jewelry Store is Exclusive Queen Anne’s County Merchant for WCEI’s Angel of Hope

Often the meaning of the holiday season becomes clouded by commercialism and the stress of trying to accomplish too much in too little time. It is always refreshing when commercialism and the spirit of giving from the heart come together in a way that truly honors the holiday.

Paula’s Fine Jewelry, 1607 Postal Road, Chester, will be doing just that on Saturday, December 5, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. as it hosts its annual open house and sale, featuring the launch of phase II of WCEI radio’s “Angels of Hope” program. From 10 a.m. to noon WCEI radio will do a special remote at the store with a WCEI/WINX on-air personality. As the exclusive Queen Anne’s County merchant location Paula’s Fine Jewelry will accept unwrapped gifts for Queen Anne’s County families in need from now until December 17.

During the promotion residents can log onto the WCEI website at www.wceiradio.com and click on the “Angels of Hope” link to see the items requested for the family in their county. Items are then dropped off at the exclusive participating merchant for that county. As one family’s list is completed, the next family’s list is posted on the website until the conclusion of the program on December 17. Phase one of the program was a food collection to help food banks serve families in Queen Anne’s, Talbot, Dorchester and Caroline counties.

In addition to the radio station remote, the December 5 open house will also feature special discounts and holiday merchandize as well as light refreshments.

Warner, owner of Paula’s Fine Jewelry. “Many local families are struggling just to make ends meet this year. It is important that each of us do what we can to help out,” she adds.
