Pediatrics-EDH-12-2013Local Pediatricians Honored as Everyday Heroes

The University of Maryland Memorial Hospital Foundation recently recognized four local pediatricians as Everyday Heroes.  The physicians were nominated by the employees of the Pediatrics Unit and Birthing Center at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton for their collaboration in providing exceptional care to the babies born and children treated at the Medical Center.

Celebrating their recognition as Everyday Heroes are (from left to right) Patty MacDougall, MSN, RNC-OB, manager of women’s and children’s services; Ahmed Gawad, MD; Lacy Thomas, surgical tech; Karen Jackson, RNC; Brian Corden, MD; Richard Fritz, MD; Marcy Chambers, RN; Mark Langfitt, MD; Terry Patrick, CAN; and Jan Smith, RNC.

The Everyday Hero Program provides patients and their family members an opportunity to thank a University of Maryland Shore Regional Health physician, employee or volunteer by making a financial donation to the UM Memorial Hospital Foundation in their name. The UM Memorial Hospital Foundation uses these donations to support UM Shore Regional Health in continuing its mission of delivering exceptional care, every day.
