Card making is often a lost art, but a hand-made card is one of the most personal and fun gifts to receive on any occasion. The Queen Anne’s County Arts Council’s Centre for the Arts is offering a one-day, three hour workshop on making holiday gift cards. Students will have their choice of images, cut outs, paper and other decorative items to craft five beautiful cards. This is an easy to moderately easy class. Students will need to bring scissors and a glue stick, all other materials will be provided by the instructor at no cost.
Instructor Cathy Downes is a knowledgeable and ling-time paper crafter. She coordinates scrapbooking evens in Maryland and Delaware and is a Creative Memories consultant. The class will be held On Saturday, November 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The deadline for registration in November 9. $20 for Arts Council members and $25 for nonmembers.
The Centre for the Arts classes are designed to renew existing artistic interests, and to develop new skills.
