Mascot At Talbot Hospice Foundation Wins Second Place In National Photo Contest

A photograph submitted by the Talbot Hospice Foundation to the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization 2010 Photography Contest has been awarded second place.

Taken by Executive Director Julie Crocker, the photo of the Hospice dog and mascot, Baxter, won in the nature/abstract category.  Photographed in the lovely mediation garden behind the Guest Wing, Baxter is imitating the pose of a statue of a sheep.

According to Jon Radulovic, Vice President, Communications of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, “Julie’s photograph, ‘Baxter’, was but one of several examples of the high quality of over 350 submissions received.   Our judges had quite a job selecting the few winning entries.”  The NHPCO website will post the winning photos on the Awards & Contests section of www.nhpco.org .

Baxter is a regular at Talbot Hospice where he greets visitors on a daily basis.  When not working he lives with Julie and Mike Crocker.
