Mid Shore Community Mediation Center is hosting a sunset cruise on the Miles River aboard the newly renovated Patriot to celebrate the organization’s fifth birthday. The cruise will take place on Saturday, July 10, from 6 to 9 p.m., departing from St. Michaels. Proceeds benefit the Mediation Center’s no-cost conflict resolution services.
Sponsors include Easton Bank & Trust, Miles & Stockbridge, Patriot Cruises and Scossa Restaurant. Scossa will be catering the event.
Executive Director Peter Taillie described the cruise as “a great value for a fun time on the water,” and thanked the sponsors for helping to make the evening possible. “Scossa is taking advantage of this opportunity to help establish a new standard for catered events in the area,” he added.
Circuit Court Judge Broughton M. Earnest will be the guest of honor. “Judge Earnest has been a valued supporter of mediation within the judiciary,” said Taillie. “This event is an opportunity for our other area supporters and volunteer mediators to come together to help us celebrate this milestone for Mid Shore Mediation.”
