Mid Shore Behavioral Health, Inc. (MSBH) hosted its Annual Team and Board of Directors Meeting on October 31, 2025, bringing together board members and the full team to review organizational highlights and plan for the year ahead.

Alta CPA Group, reviewed MSBH’s financial audit for the past fiscal year, and Due East Partners, LLC, shared findings from the Regional Across the Lifespan Needs Assessment. The assessment highlighted gaps in behavioral health services across the region; the MSBH team will use these findings to inform future program planning.

The meeting featured programmatic highlights across all departments, including Child, Adolescent, and Young Adult Services, Hub Program, Continuum of Care, Forensic Mental Health, Recovery, Wellness, Crisis Support Services, Adult Services, Data and Quality, and Marketing. The meeting also included a teambuilding activity, Lighthouse of Hope – Lighting the Way Together, where the group reflected on how they individually and collectively serve as a “light” in the community.

The Board of Directors voted to approve new members: Katie Schoonover, EHR Manager at Crossroads Community Inc.; Ja’Tyra Smith, Problem Solving Court Agent at the Division of Parole and Probation; Megan Wojtko, Chief Clinical Officer at Choptank Community Health; and Amie Hoffman, Director of Behavioral Health Services for the University of Maryland Shore Regional Health. The 2025-2026 slate of officers was also confirmed, with Dr. Robert Roca serving as President, Brett Wilson as Vice President, Doncella Wilson as Treasurer, and Matt Evans as Secretary.

The meeting concluded with expressions of gratitude to the team and board members for their dedicated service. MSBH Board President Dr. Robert Roca added, “It was inspiring to review all that Mid Shore has done for the community over the past year and to witness the staff’s passionate commitment to their mission of service. My fellow Board members and I came away very proud to be part of this organization.”

Mid Shore Behavioral Health, Inc. (MSBH) is the region’s Core Service Agency charged with continually improving the provision of behavioral health services for residents of Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s, and Talbot Counties through effective coordination of care in collaboration with consumers, their natural support systems, providers, and the community at large.
