Mid Shore Behavioral Health, Inc. supports Bay Water Animal Rescue during Annual Volunteer Day

Cambridge, MD – On May 30th, 2025, the Mid Shore Behavioral Health, Inc. (MSBH) team gathered for their annual volunteer day, an opportunity for the team to step outside of their regular roles and engage in hands-on community service. This year’s volunteer day was hosted by Bay Water Animal Rescue in Cambridge, MD, a no-kill animal shelter dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned, abused, and neglected animals on the Eastern Shore.

Bay Water Animal Rescue, formerly known as the Humane Society of Dorchester County, has provided compassionate care and advocacy for animals for over seventy-seven years. Their mission is to protect animals and improve the lives of both pets and people through rescue, adoption, and education.

Volunteer Day offers the MSBH team a valuable chance to unite, strengthen bonds, and give back by supporting a fellow nonprofit dedicated to making a positive impact. Through shared service activities, the team fosters collaboration and upholds the organization’s Core Values of Integrity, Inclusive Collaboration, and Progressive Leadership.

“MSBH team worked together with Bay Water Animal Rescue for their day of service. Some team members had the pleasure of walking dogs, cleaning the cathouse, working to freshen up the trails and outside play yards. Other team members cleaned and organized different areas at the Rescue. It was a great day of team building and giving back to the community,” said Audra Cherbonnier, LMSW, MSBH Programs Manager.
