Miltec UV, Stevensville-MD has been named a Winner in the 2012 Challengers Distinguished Achievement Awards competition presented by the International Woodworking Machinery & Furniture Supply Fair. The Challengers Award recognizes seven outstanding exhibiting companies for innovative woodworking machinery, supplies and services. Out of 79 entries, Miltec UV was selected as one of the top 7 for the award. Miltec UV highlighted their new HPI Gloss Control UV Curing System. This innovative system enables finishers to achieve consistent quality and eliminate downtime by allowing the use of only one UV final topcoat for all low, medium, and high gloss ranges. Significant savings have been realized in electrical energy consumption, coating costs, downtime, and replacement parts. In addition, paybacks are averaging from 1 to 2 years on this new equipment. Ultimately, wood finishers are able to produce higher quality products with lower operating costs resulting in higher profits for their business.
