Mom’s Club Holds Cases for Kids Auction

The Chesapeake Mom’s Club (CMC) held a silent auction fundraiser for Cases for Kids, a local charitable organization which provides suitcases with gently worn clothing to foster care children and children in need in the surrounding communities, on Saturday, June 4, at the club’s end-of-year celebration at Fisherman’s Inn, Kent Narrows.

More than 30 members were in attendance along with their spouses. Many local businesses along with CMC club members contributed more than 20 auction items.

Chesapeake Moms Club is made up of more than 100 moms from all over Queen Anne’s County. The club’s mission is to provide a mechanism through which mothers with children all ages in Queen Anne’s County and surrounding area may meet one another through a variety of activities, and to enrich the lives of our children and ourselves. Overall, more than $1400 was raised and presented to Cases for Kids along with toiletry items with their wish list which were collected from the members that attended the event.
