SUMMER TENNIS LESSONS
Beginners will learn sound fundamentals and the skills of basic strokes including the serve, forehand, backhand and volley. Students will also be introduced to singles and doubles play, scoring, and rules. The lessons include nine hours of certified professional instruction, drills, and play. Instructor Brent Herrick received teacher training and certification from the Van Der Meer Tennis University in 1979 and is a Certified Professional with the Professional Tennis Registry.

CHALLENGER BRITISH SOCCER CAMP
The Challenger Way focuses on challenging players to improve with maximum participation, maximum touches on the ball, and maximum fun.  Simply put: no line drills, no long speeches and lots of encouragement. Every camper gets a cool T-shirt and ball!  Campers need to bring shin guards, drinks, snack, and sunscreen. Full day campers will need to bring a lunch. TetraBrazil Soccer Academy Camp, Ages 7-13 years
TetraBrazil Soccer Academy offers outstanding training by professional Brazilian soccer coaches.   Co-ed campers will be placed according to age and ability in a soccer training atmosphere that will challenge each player to raise his or her game to new heights.  TetraBrazil trainers provide campers with a solid foundation in all the basic skills of the game while focusing on teamwork, game tactics, and developing a passion for the game of soccer. FIELD HOCKEY LEAGUE, GRADES 1- 8
The following youth field hockey leagues will start in August. No experience necessary.  Girls Youth Leagues include: Pee Wee entering grades 1-2, Juniors entering grades 3 – 5, and Seniors entering grades 6 – 8.  Required equipment: mouth guard, shin guards and hockey sticks. For Junior girls, sticks may be provided if necessary. Practices start in August at area fields and games begin in September. Registration deadline: June 30. Registrations received after this date will be charged a $15 late fee.

SHOOTER / SCORER BASKETBALL CAMP
Camp Director Paul Hoover is considered one of the premiere shooting coaches in the United States. This camp is based on developing a player’s mental and physical basketball skills. We offer each player first–rate instruction through quality coaching. Our advanced drills are designed through competition and a full understanding of the body’s movement.  Coach Hoover, founder and director of PRO SHOT, has guided hundreds of collegiate and professional players.

MULTI–SPORTS CAMP
We want your kids to love sports, make new friends, and enjoy being a part of a team. Our coaches are committed to providing positive reinforcement and building self–esteem. Curriculum includes: soccer, basketball, flag football, baseball, and tennis.

Terrific Tykes:
This fun-filled pre-school camp will provide supervised recreational indoor and outdoor activities for children ages 3 – 5 (who have not attended Kindergarten) by December 31, 2011. Terrific Tykes will feature activities such as arts, crafts, games, music and stories.

Camp Lotsafun:
This unique Indoor/Outdoor camp will provide pre-planned daily activities that will surely delight your youngsters. These one week camps are designed to provide enriching, structured leisure activities. Bring a bag lunch, snacks and drinks each day. Camp hours are 7:00to 5:00 pm. Extended hours are included in the cost of the camp.

“Summer Days” Youth Disability Camp
This camp is designed to provide the campers with enriching and structured leisure activities. All campers will participate in daily activities such as sports, games, arts and crafts, music, drama, nature and team building. Campers must bring a bag lunch, snacks and drinks each day.

Playground Camp:
From 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 pm. our one week playground camps are a fun way to keep your child busy and active while having a great time outdoors. Children will be provided with structured and carefully planned activities including themed weekly programs, outdoor sports, arts and crafts and weekly field trips. Bring a bag lunch, snacks, and drinks each day.

Kent Island Flag Football Cheerleading:
Boys and girls ages 4 – 14 sign up to cheer at flag football league games held at Matapeake Elementary School Complex. Practices will start in Mid-August and performances at games will begin on Sundays afternoons in September. No travel and no experience or special equipment necessary. All participants will receive a t-shirt.
