More Than 200 Attend Writers Conference

Leslie Walker session Boing Boing 2 (400 x 267)The 16th annual Bay to Ocean Writers Conference (BTO) at Chesapeake College drew a sellout crowd of more than 200, most from the mid-Atlantic region. Participants at the February 23 event selected five sessions, from thirty offerings, led by novelists, poets, screenwriters, freelancers, instructors, agents, editors and publishers.

“Great sessions – each provided practical tips on writing and/or the art of being published. Thanks to all involved for this excellent conference. Food and drinks were great too,” commented one attendee on the evaluation form. Another of the 129 positive surveys read, “I really enjoyed the conference this year. Great topics and well spaced sessions.”

The conference is sponsored each year by ESWA, the Eastern Shore Writers Association. Next year’s conference will be February 22 at Chesapeake College in Wye Mills.
