The Maryland State Police Centreville Barrack Criminal Investigation Section have been looking into thefts of numerous copper grounds from power lines in the Kent and Queen Anne’s County Area; the locations cover South of Centreville and as far North as Chestertown. The suspects remove the copper grounds from the power poles and climb the poles using linemen’s gaffs to remove thousands of feet of copper ground wire.
