Mum Sale To Benefit Talbot County Nonprofits

Talbot County Moms on a Mission (TCMM) is giving local residents the chance to add some color to their gardens this fall while supporting local charities. TCMM is hosting a fall mum sale to benefit the Talbot Interfaith Shelter and the St. Michaels Community Center.

Orders are being taken now through Sept. 24, and mums will be available for pick-up on Saturday, Oct. 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 206 E. Chew Ave. in St. Michaels.

Danielle Murphy, philanthropy chairman, said TCMM is grateful for community support in this fundraiser.

“Thank you for helping us give back to our wonderful community that gives so much to all of us,” Murphy said.
Mums are available in red, white, bronze, yellow or purple, and in two sizes: small (9 to 12 inches) for $5, and large (14 to 18 inches) for $7. The sale is being facilitated by JM Landscapes & Associates of St. Michaels.

TCMM was created to provide a place for moms and children to meet each other and give back to the community. Its current missions include supporting Talbot Interfaith Shelter, which provides temporary shelter to those who lack housing during the winter, and St. Michaels Community Center, which offers recreational and educational activities for toddlers through seniors.

Checks for the mum sale may be made out to TCMM and mailed to 8722 Roundhouse Circle, Easton, MD 21601.
All orders must be received with payment by Sept. 24, and 90 percent of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to Talbot Interfaith Shelter and St. Michaels Community Center.
