Beginning in November, the Sudlersville Senior Center is hosting several new activities for people over age 60.
Healthy Living for Older Adults with an emphasis on Zumba Gold, will be meeting on Tuesday’s at 10 a.m. Zumba Gold is a musical fitness class created to be fun and easy while getting fit. Come in for free Zumba demonstrations on October 12 and 19th. Registration fee of only $15.00 for the 15 week semester.
Learn a new game “Mahjongg” a Chinese tile game. Ms. Dorothy Betcher is the instructor. Classes will be on Monday’s and Thursday’s at 12:30 p.m.
Looking for something creative to do? How about Latch Hooking? Peggy Craft will make it fun and easy to create your own pillow, rug or wall hanging. Classes are Wednesday’s @12:30 p.m.
Memories are made with photographs. Want to learn more about your digital camera. Tom Brent is the instructor and will be happy to help you take outstanding photos. Classes are held the first Wednesday of each month at 12:30p.m. Field photo trips are on the second and third Wednesday’s of each month.
Donna Blackiston is here on Tuesday afternoons to help you make jewelry. This is a fun class where you can purchase your own materials and create jewelry you will love and enjoy for years.
Craft Design and Production with an emphasis on Ceramics and Colors of Earth will begin in November. Instructor, Dora Waidner will be here on Thursday’s. You pick the project you want to do. You will receive individual instructions on your own project. Registration fee for 15 week semester is only $15.00.
Carol Ehlers will instruct on simple, easy crafts on Thursday’s beginning in October and continuing through out the year. We are looking for volunteers to help make crafts for our Bazaar’s, craft shows and country store. Craft ideas are always welcome.
