A Chestertown pastor accused of sexually abusing a 13-year-old boy now faces more than 70 additional charges involving the alleged molestation of a 6-year-old girl. Court records show 39-year-old Jerry Bartley was charged with the additional crimes last week. The counts he faces include second-degree child abuse, second-degree sex offense and sex abuse of a minor. Bartlett is accused of molesting the girl on 12 separate occasions at his home between March 1 and April 16. Charging documents show that the girl told investigators about the abuse, and a medical examination found injuries consistent with what she described. Bartley is a licensed foster parent and the pastor at Faith and Deliverance Church in Chestertown. State officials say two foster children have been removed from his care.
