Grasonville artist & musician Glenn Shiring has just finished a 56 square foot mural in Chester, on the south wall of The Grooming Place Pet Shop, locally owned.

The giant fishtank took Shiring about a month to complete. He used acrylic latex, and worked alone.

The shop, owned by Helen Bennett, recently relocated to this building.

Glenn Shiring, who’s done a number of murals for local businesses, schools, and homes, says, “I am grateful for the opportunity to paint in the public eye. I did the whole thing freehand. There was briefly a cat with a scuba tank in there, but he didn’t make the final cut.”

He has just begun work on a new mural project with another local business.
