Andrew Onukwubiri, project manager overseeing construction of the new Sudlersville Middle School, notified the Queen Anne’s County Board of Education the building will be ready for occupancy by April 27. The board’s coordinator of public information, Jeff Straight, confirmed the first day in the new building for students and teachers will be Monday, April 30. Nason Construction, which is handling the general contracting work for Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Associates Architects, is completing final punchlist items, Onukwubiri said at the April 4 board meeting. The ceremonial groundbreaking for the $23-million building project occurred on May 4, 2010.
