Shore Health System officials continue to work on plans for a new regional medical center to be located next to the Talbot County Community Center, but so far have not applied for state approval of the project. Before Shore Health System can break ground, it has to go through the Maryland Health Care Commission’s certificate of need process for a new medical center, which Paul Parker acting director of the MHCC Center for Hospital Services said has not officially begun.
