Oliver Michaels Salon to promote Autism Awareness Month

In a joint effort with National Autism Association of Maryland-Eastern Shore (NAAOFMDES), Oliver Michaels Salon is excited to announce their participation in the April 2010 Autism Awareness Month by selling colored hair extensions. The campaign will raise money for NAAOFMDES and related projects such as Project Restore Hope, Services Scholarship Fund, and Project Safe Home all throughout the Mid-Shore region.

Bill Shortall of OliverMichaels Salon said, “There isn’t a more fun way for people to support Autism Awareness than to come in and get a new, temporary extension. The pink extensions were a huge hit with the young girls and the teens during October 2009’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  I can’t wait to see what the Autism Awareness blue extensions will do.”

Jaime Langdon of National Autism Association of Maryland-Eastern Shore says, “This is just a great way to remember and help the autism community especially during Autism Awareness Month. This campaign will really make a difference in so many children’s lives. I really appreciate Oliver Michaels Salon and all that they are doing to help these kids. I am so excited and can’t wait to put one in my daughter Jazmyn’s hair and mine too.”

The campaign is set to begin on April 1st through May 1st. Participants are welcomed to either call for an appointment or stop in. The minimum donation is $15.00.
