The Chesapeake Bay Foundation says it is time for oyster gardeners to start pulling up their cages. The foundation says residents who have been growing oysters in cages on docks around the bay can return them to sites in Annapolis, St. Michael’s and Solomon’s Island over the next month. The bay foundation says oyster gardeners do not have to register, just bring their oysters in a sturdy bucket or other container that does not have to be returned. And please count the oysters to help the foundation estimate how many oysters will be planted on each reef.
