Paint The Town Pink 2012

Patrons in Pink, a local Nonprofit raising funds to support QAC residents dealing with Breast Cancer treatments, presents ”Paint The Town Pink 2012”!

Beginning October 1st, both Residents and Businesses in The Town of Centreville are invited to Dress up and Adorn their Windows, Doors and Store Fronts in themes and shades of pink for a healthy competition supporting October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The winners will be recognized Friday, October 12th at 9:30am on the Courthouse Square following Pancakes in Pink – a pancake breakfast sponsored by Gunther’s Catering from 7:00-9:00am. Then on Saturday, October 13th, a 5K Fun Run starts early with 7:00am registration and an 8:00am start at Lawyers Row on a course that highlights the beautiful and accessible parks along the Centreville waterfront along with Historic buildings and homes in town. Last year’s event drew record setting crowds and $500 in donations to our charities. Centreville’s Local Girl Scout Troop will be on hand again this year with water bottle donations and cheers to keep our participants refreshed and hydrated – many thanks to their continued support! If you’re not a runner, come anyway and enjoy a nice stroll for a good cause: your healthy spirit and community efforts support our charities: Patrons in Pink and The Connor Rice Scholarship Fund.
