Plein Air–Easton! Photography Competition Exhibits Opens Sept. 7 at Christine-Daniels Gallery

Winning photographs from the 2012 Plein Air–Easton! Photography Contest will be exhibited at the Christine-Daniels Gallery in downtown Easton during the month of September.

The Plein Air–Easton! Photography Competition attracted photographers from the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. Prominent Maryland photographer Mike Morgan judged the contest and selected the winners from more than 250 entries. Prizes were announced at an awards ceremony held on August 16.

The Christine-Daniels Gallery is located at 30 E. Dover St. (across from the Avalon Theatre). The exhibit will open Friday, September 7 during Easton’s First Friday Gallery Walk. Refreshments will be served.

The Plein Air-Easton! Photography Competition is the work of the Avalon Foundation, and supported by the Talbot County Arts Council and anonymous and community sponsors. Local photographers Tom McCall and Hunter H. Harris donated workshop prizes and A. Aubrey Bodine Gallery donated the prize for Best Black & White.
