INCIDENT: Theft

DATE / TIME: 10/09/2012 @ 2236 Hours

LOCATION: 300 Block of Anchor Lane, Chester, MD

VICTIM: Brian E. Wright of Chester

ARREST: Donald Richard Torrence III (22) of Lorton VA

CHARGE: Theft (2 Counts)

NARRATIVE: Victim reported allowing the suspect live at his home for services rendered. One evening he saw the suspect leaving with a power washer in his vehicle. A check of the garage area revealed that his power washer and a generator was missing. A check with pawn records indicated that the suspect had pawned a generator of the same make and model in Annapolis. When interviewed, the suspect stated he had been given the generator by the victim and he had borrowed the power washer. A records check showed that Torrence was wanted on a theft warrant in Anne Arundel County.

LOCATION: Ell Downes Road near Henderson

VICTIM: Choptank Electric Coop of Denton

NARRATIVE: Sub-Contractors reported poles in the area had had fiber optic cables missing. Three thirty foot section had been cut at the fittings and that suspects would have had to use a ladder or a truck to remove them. The cables had no scrap value but replacement cost is estimated at $2000.

INCIDENT: Medical Emergency

DATE / TIME: 10/10/2012 @ 1037 Hours

LOCATION: 200 Block of Church Street, Chester

VICTIM: Female (Age Unknown) of Chester

NARRATIVE: Deputy Ambrose was dispatched to location for a semi-conscious female. Investigation indicated she had intentionally overdosed on pills and left a note with instructions. She was transported to Easton Memorial Hospital by ambulance for treatment.

DATE / TIME: 10/12/2012 @ 2059 Hours

LOCATION: Lodge Court, Millington

VICTIM: Female (28) of Millington

NARRATIVE: Family member reported that the female was threatening to shoot herself and had pulled out a shotgun. On arrival the gun had been put away and the woman refused to comment other than “Let’s Go”. She was transported to Chester River Medical Center for treatment.

LOCATION: 100 Block of Darden Road, Chestertown

VICTIM: Sue Zimmerman of Chestertown

NARRATIVE: Victim advised she parked her 2012 Toyota Rav 4 in her driveway at about 2100 hours on the 12th . The following morning she found the passenger window shattered. Victim advised there was nothing of value left in the vehicle. Damages was estimated at $200.

INCIDENT: Medical Emergency

DATE / TIME: 10/13/2012 @ 2315 Hours

LOCATION: 4H Park (Island Bay Days Festival)

VICTIM: Male (44) of Centreville

NARRATIVE: Following reports of a male acting strangely near the gate of the festival, Deputy Neall attempted to locate the man. When found, the man was disoriented, laughing and shouting obscenities. Several times he claimed he was “splitting atoms and heading to the moon”. The man was transported to Easton Memorial Hospital for treatment.
